LQ9D011 – An Active Matrix Liquid Crystal Display Module

LQ9D011, the color TFT-LCD (abbreviated name for Liquid Crystal Display) module as introduced by Sharp in the markets, incorporates the amorphous silicon thin film transistor. The components of the LQ9D011 module in addition to the mentioned transistor include a color TFT-LCD panel, control circuit, driver ICs and power supply circuit.

The default display mode of the LQ9D011 module is white and the screen size is 8.4 cm. The perfect viewing angle is 6 O’clock and the outline dimensions are 243.5 (W) X 180 (H) X 12 (D) mm. The other mechanical specifications refer to the active area which is 170.9 (H) 129.6 (V) and a pixel pitch of 0.267 (H) X 0.270 (V). The display qualities of a LQ9D011 are in line with the Delivery Inspection Standards.

Handling Precautions of LQ9D011

LQ9D011 is a sensitive device and must be handled with caution. Disassembling the module can cause damage and therefore, must be strictly avoided. The vendor also sets the adjusting volumes before handing over the module to user, therefore, it is suggested that the set volumes are changed, as if changed t\it could lead to a disturbance in the other set specifications. Front polarizer is prone to easy scratches and therefore demands special attention. Any water droplets on the screen could lead to discolorations and therefore must be wiped off immediately. CMOS LSI is used in the module and hence static electric problems should be avoided.

The obvious usage of glass in the LQ9D011 module, further mandates careful handling.
